Acquisition of Bitsmedia, a Singapore-based developer of mobile application Muslim Pro

Pickering Pacific is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Bitsmedia’s shareholder on the sale of a majority stake in the group to private equity funds Affin Hwang Asset Management (Malaysia) and CMIA Capital Partners (Singapore).

Bitsmedia is the Singapore-based developer of mobile application Muslim Pro, a lifestyle application helping Muslim users throughout the world practice their faith and interact with their community. Muslim Pro is available in 15 languages, both on Android and iOS devices.

With over 45 million downloads, 10 million monthly active users and 2 million daily active users, Muslim Pro is the number one Muslim mobile application in the world.

With the help of its new private equity investors, Bitsmedia plans to expand into new verticals including Halal food, Haj-related services and e-commerce.
